Phil Schiller is no longer the head of marketing at Apple.

A longtime executive is stepping into a smaller role, becoming what the company calls and Apple fell.
Fellow.
It's a very classy sounding senior rank.
And Apple says he will still be with the company running the app store and Apple events.
The new boss of marketing is Greg Joswiak.
He is taking Schiller's title.
Vice President of worldwide marketing.
Now Apple announced the change in a press release Tuesday and in it Schiller said, "this year I turned 60 and it's time for some plan changes in my life." He added that he wanted to make time in the years ahead for family, friends and personal projects.
Schiller started at Apple when he was 27 years old back in 1987.
He always is a notable presence on stage at Big Apple product announcements.
His most recent accomplishment as head of marketing was turning WWDC, Apple's big annual Developers Conference into an all digital affair this summer.
Summer, but Jozwiak, who goes by Jaws for short, has had plenty of his own big stage moments during Apple keynotes.
He served under Schiller and was the head of product marketing for the past four years.
He's been with the marketing team for 20 years and he oversaw product management and marketing for a number of iconic Apple devices including The original iPod and the first iPhone.
Schiller is the fourth high ranking Apple executive to change jobs recently.
I mean, just in 2019.
We saw the head of design Johnny, I believe, and there was Angela air rents.
She left the head retail role.
Steve Dowling the head of public relations also left.
In fact, Schiller took over as head of communications when he left.
But as for Schiller, now he's not totally out he has plenty of work ahead of him managing the App Store and to defend it as a fair marketplace.
You see, Apple has been facing antitrust scrutiny for how it takes a 30% cut of sales from app developers.
