The Mercedes vision EQS is sort of like the electric S Class of the future or maybe the electric CLS of the future judging by its movie four door coupe form factor Now the aim here is to be a really good, really high luxury vehicle that just happens to be an electric one and like the F class, this one aims at 0 compromises.
In the power department, we've got two electric motor, one at each end, totally 469 horse power and 560 pound tork.
Now that's good for a zero to 60 sprint and 4.5 seconds but if you take it easy, Mercedes says this thing will roll to an estimated 435 miles of range that is impressive.
The design is equally impressive, particularly the front end where you see a lot of lighting elements there.
For example, are no headlights just stay array of LED that sort of rotate to create the appearance of a hologram of headlights.
And, there's no grill.
Just a whole bunch of LEDs because being an electric car, it doesn't need cooling like that.
And the two-tone paint job that they've given it here, is giving me mad Maybach vibes.
Of course, the interior is also rocking Maybach vibes with a yacht-inspired dashboard with a pinstripe wooden interior with a massive touchscreen in the center and two touchscreens split between the doors.
And in keeping with Mercedes Benz this eco friendly message it's also got a lot of green materials in the cabin, including headliner made from reclaimed plastics fake Napa leather that no cow had to die for and maples, wood that can harvest sustainably.
Of course there's also rose gold trim.
That's real rose gold.
You can't fake certain things with luxury Now the EQS follows on in the line of the EQV electric van and the EQC SUV as Mercedes Benz experiments with filling out its line with electric cars.
Well no word when we're going to see this in production but I'm hoping it's going to be some time soon.
