When will Pokemon Go hit Japan?
Our report from Tech Crunch said Pokemon Go would finally make its Japanese debut on July 20th.
The same report said McDonald's will be the game's first launch partner.
Those fast food restaurant locations would function as gyms.
Gyms in Pokemon Go are places where players can battle other players.
However, the game did not launch in Japan yet, so TechCrunch ran another report.
This report says that game developer Niantic, and McDonald's, cancelled the launch, because they feared the game would crash under the demand.
The Japan launch is still reportedly imminent.
Back around July 15th, Niantic CEO John Hankie told Forbes, that Pokemon Go would come to Japan, quote soon, if not by the end of July, end quote.
So what does that all mean?
Japan is getting the game, sometime.
Pokemon Go is already available in more than 30 countries.
Survey Monkey reports that Pokemon Go now has more daily active users than Twitter and Google Maps.
The game became the biggest mobile game in US history as of July 13th, toppling Candy Crush Saga as king of the mountain.
If Pokemon Go is not available in your country, be careful.
