Waymo v Uber trial gets tense when Travis Kalanick takes the stand
Hi, this is Dara Kerr, c/net reporter with c/net news, and I'm here in downtown San Francisco, reporting on the Waymo vs Uber trial.
Today was day two and the highlights were big.
We heard from Uber's former CEO Travis Kalanick Who talked about his relationship with the center of the case Anthony Levendowski and the allegedly 14,000 stolen files.
We also heard from Wamos VP of Engineering and the forensic analyst who traced how the files were allegedly stolen.
And we heard from a Wamo engineer.
who found out about the stolen files by accident from an email from a vendor.
We also heard a deposition from the founder of Uber's self-driving car project, who said he felt pushed by Travis Kalanick.
The mood was tense in the courtroom with Travis Kalanick there, and he didn't get to finish his testimony, which will be wrapped up tomorrow morning with Uber doing the questioning.
