Hi guys.
**** Ngo here and this is the Nighthawk X4 AC2350 Smart WiFi Router from Netgear, model R7500.
Now, let me pause for a second here and talk about the numbers.
Basically, this one shares the same.
Quadstream 802.11a Wi-Fi [INAUDIBLE] The ASUS RT-AC87U right here.
Basically, on the [INAUDIBLE], they have the top speed of up to 1,733 megabits per second.
And on the 2.4 gigahertz band, up to 600 megabits per second.
NETGEAR call this one here the AC2350.
And Asus called that one here AC2400.
Basically they try to make my job harder having to explain all that.
Now first the Netgear here is a lot more powerful.
It comes with a 1.4 gigahertz dual core processor.
And they also have not a one, but two USB 3.0 ports on this side here.
On the other side, a USB port, you can even use this port to post a lot of port devices.
As a four by four router, the R7500 here comes with four detachable antennas.
These antennas have to be attached to the router at specific places.
Look at the numbers on the [UNKNOWN] themselves and the label right here on the top of the router.
But if this plastic on top here goes away, you better have a good memory.
On the back the router come with the usual one gigabyte WAN port and 40 bit LAN port here.
And on the front it come with the user array of.
There are those status lights.
Over here though, these are also buttons.
One of them is to turn on or off the wi-fi network and the other for the WPF feature.
Now the second biggest difference is performance and it's not a very good one.
That is because the Netgear here in my testing, despite all the powerful hardware, actually was a lot slower than the ASUS.
It did have a very long wi-fi range, though.
Up to some 300 feet away.
That is the longest I ever seen.
And very stable wi-fi signal.
Now to make up for the kind of slow wi-fi speed, the Netgear here as very robust NAT server when hosting a storage device.
You can use it to share data, to stream content and to bulk up your computer.
It's support natively [INAUDIBLE] machine.
It's very impressive.
Now this new router here comes with all the common features found in other high end routers but it also have one new one that is.
Dynamic QOS which basically very smartly minutes your ethernet to make sure you have the best online experience at any given time.
In my trial the dynamic QOS feature works actually pretty well with only with slow or moderate connection.
If you have a fast internet like this right here it [UNKNOWN].
Come on this on and check out my full review at SC dot com.
If you're wondering if I get one for myself, well, actually I got two.
Well, in this case it was a stick.
I have very fast internet at home, but when I make a mistake which I never do, I admit it.
That's because I'm [INAUDIBLE] and this has been the first look at the 900X4 wi-fi router from Netgear.
Actually I didn't buy them.
Somebody gave them to me.
