>> Well for the Tekzilla Daily I'm Patrick Norton. The most annoying pop-up of windows is the one that shows up right after Windows updates does its thing. You know it. You must restart you computer for the updates to take effect. "Do you wanna restart your computer now?" And you're only 2 choices are to restart now or to restart later which just means you'll get the same pop-up 10 minutes later and if you're off getting a sandwich, it might reboot even if you don't want the machine to. What if you wanna restart on your own darn schedule? Not a problem. It's actually pretty easy to fix. Open the start menu and select Run. Type gpedit.msc and hit Enter. Now navigate to the folder computer configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Update. Now take a deep breath. From here, you can change the interval between the pop-ups through the setting labeled re-prompt for restart with scheduled installations. And if you're worried about your computer autorestarting while you're away from you're desk, enable no autorestart for schedule automatic updates installation and it will wait for your okay before restarting. That's awesome. It means never losing everything on your system while you're working again. Thanks to Asan Kia [phonetic] for bringing this to our attention. I'm sure we'll put many frustrated minds at ease. Now do you have a tip or trick you wanna share? We'd love to hear it.
