>> Hi I'm Kent German, senior editor for CNET.com. And I'm here at CES 2008, and I want to show you another Best of CES finalist for the cell phones category, the Sony Erickson W760. This is one of Sony Erickson's newest Walkman phones, it was just announced here at CES. They make a very good series of music phones for the Walkman player. They're easy to play music, easy to get on, the music quality's also decent. But there are a couple of things that are interesting about this phone and unique. One is that it actually supports three 3G bands, so that means that it works in 3G, so that's you know, UMTS and HSTPA, those are the GSM 3G versions. In North America and over in Europe, and in some places in Asia. So that's great because a lot of phones that we see that are 3G, the 3G works here or it works there, and it doesn't work both places. The other thing that's interesting about this phone is it has a sensor inside of it that can actually, you can use to control certain functions just by moving the phone. Everyone knows about the iPhone. The iPhone had the, the sensor in it where you turned it on its side and everything flipped over. And that's great, but actually the Apple and the iPhone are not the only people to have something like that. One thing this does have is on the music control [inaudible] first, and it's got shake control. So if you're playing music and you want to record a, or you want to fast forward through the songs, just shake the phone like this and it does it. So maybe a little gimmicky, but still kind of cool and definitely unique. Also you can raise and, or control the video, I'm sorry the volume using that same method, you can shake the phone up and down. But, but the best thing about this is that actually if you play a game, so we're starting the game here, and after we start I will be able to control the card just by tilting the phone, so getting ready to go. Also great for, see the cars getting off there, and then I can actually turn the phone and the car responds. So definitely good, cause you know, the problem with a lot of these game phones is that you know, you get, it's really hard to maneuver these controls, you know, hard to get your fingers in there and [inaudible] around. So if you can do that, that actually is pretty interesting. It works on other phones as well, there's a Marble Madness game where you can make a marble roll all the way around just by tilting the phone. So pretty interesting. And overall you can see just the camera back here, you do have to raise it up to expose it. But otherwise, a very interesting phone. A lot of cool features, and definitely things that are unique.
