>> Hi, I'm Kent German, Senior Editor here at CNET.com. I'm in Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. I want to show you the Sonim XP2 Spirit. The phone is certified to military specifications for dust, for assault fog, for water. So all of the things you're used to on maybe a Nextel phone, this phone'll withstand. It does have an octagonal shape, sort of. You can see it here. Now, Sonim says it to help water droplets roll off easier. The skin is made from fiberglass and really tough plastic, a little bit of rubber on the sides. And interestingly enough, over the speaker, there's a GORE-TEX cover. Also, this features gorilla glass, which we saw on another version of the Sonim XP3 at CES this year. So it's pretty thick, and you can put a nail into it and hammer away, and it shouldn't be any problem. The design is pretty simple, though. There's just a color display, a pretty simple menu system, nothing too fancy. On the back, you'll see that you have a couple screws. That helps keep the battery cover in so water doesn't get in when you submerge it. Camera lens and a flash. It's a 3.0-megapixel camera. You're not gonna find a huge selection of features here. This is really a phone about withstanding the elements and taking quite a beating. I'm Kent German, and this is Sonim XP2 Spirit.
