Sense's Mother hub wants to control your day-to-day
Kitchen & Household
Hi.
I'm Megan Wollerton for CNET Appliances, here today with Senses Mother Home Automation Hub.
Now this $299 home automation kit has been on display at CES, Ether in Berlin, and a bunch of other type conferences around the world.
And every time, we've been struck by how
[MUSIC]
Creepy.
It is.
The branding is really geared toward big brother style mother is watching you.
Mother will take care of all your needs.
But creepy branding aside it's actually a really great home automation kit.
Basically this bowling pin style hub plugs into your router.

And you get these four little sensor tags called cookies with the kit.
These can be used for a bunch of different home automation things.
They have built in motion sensors, they have built in temperature gauges.
And the kit comes with sticky putty so you can attach it to a door and monitor motion, who's.
Coming and going, You also have the option fo attaching these t\little silicone sleeves.
Sense suggests attaching this to your toothbrush or your kid's toothbrushes so that you can have a hygiene competition basically monitor who is actually picking up their toothbrush at least two times a day.
But whatever you use these cookies for it will probably do whatever you want it to.
I had no problem with the mobile app.
I had no problem with the web app.
So even though this is a bit pricey and looks a little weird, it was very well executed and would make a good addition to your smart home.
Thanks for watching, I'm Megan Wollerton for CNET.
