THis is C Net and here are the stories that matter right now. Roku has just debuted five new streaming devices ranging in price from $30 to $100 all falling short of Apples expensive new Apple TV 4k. Roku's higher end 4K streamers start with he stick plus which can also handle HDR and the Roku Ultra which also sports an ethernet port and micro SD expansion slot. All of the new Roku products will hit on October 8. Google is doing away with the controversial demotion policy for sites that present users with paywalls. Lindberg reports that the search giant will no longer penalize such sites in search results, and instead work on ways to improve subscriptions to news sites, starting with the New York Times and the Financial Times. And finally, Sony is giving Playstation VR a minor update Adding a connection for stereo headphones directly into the visor and allowing for each of the arch pass through in the hardware processing box. The updated units will arrive in stores soon and will stay at the same price. Unfortunately, current PSVR owners need to update if they want to do HDR pass through.
