>> This may seem like a pretty average GPS device until you power it up and a NASCAR Legend starts giving you driving directions. I'm Antuan Goodwin and this is your First Look at the Rightway Spotter GPS Navigator. The Spotter features the prerecorded voice of NASCAR racing star Dale Earnhardt Jr. giving you turn-by-turn direction to wherever you need to go.
>> In one chance of a mile. Hang a left. You're close now, hang a left.
>> And it also features multimedia playback and come preloaded with pictures and videos of Dale Jr. for fans to enjoy. Instead of custom Points of Interests called Dale's Favorites highlight Dale Jr.'s favorite restaurants, NASCAR landmarks and businesses. Now, once you get passed the novelty of Dale's direction, you'll find the Spotter is a pretty average GPS device. Its start-up time and satellite lap time lag behind the competition from Garmin and TomTom, and its interface is slightly convoluted. A neat engine is the Spotter features text-to-speech. So, if you can live without the sweet sound of Dale's voice, the unit will read street names aloud in one of six robotic voices. The unit features no internal storage and all of the GPS software is stored on a removable SD card. Losing, overriding or damaging this card could render the unit useless. So, be careful if you choose to take it out. We think the fans of Dale Earnhardt Jr. will find the Rightway Spotter amusing at first, but in the long run, it probably better off looking up market for a better GPS. I'm Antuan Goodwin, this has been your first look at the Rightway Spotter GPS Navigator Dale Earnhardt Jr. Edition.
