>> I'm David Caranoy [assumed spelling], executive editor for cnet.com. And I'm here to tell you about the RCA Small Wonder Pocket Easy 205. This is a mini camcorder that records video to flash memory. The model here comes with one gigabyte of on-board memory in the form of a micro SD card. You can swap that card out with a higher capacity card, or just another one gigabyte card that you might bring along with you to store more video. Having that removable storage is a nice feature on these cameras. One of the trademarks of Small Wonder cameras is the flip out LCD, and this model has it as well. One design element worth noting is that the USB connector is stowed behind the LCD, that's kind of cool how it's hidden behind there. You just have to pull open the LCD and you can get to the USB connector. The overall design of this camcorder isn't terribly sexy, RCA probably could have done a little bit better job making it look a little bit more expensive than it is. The buttons on this model have been slightly modified from the previous version, they're nice and big, easy to read. There is also now a web photo button that allows you to take still images. In case you do want to mount this on a tripod, there is a tripod mount on the bottom of the camcorder. There's also an AV output if you want to watch your videos on TV. This camcorder, like other Small Wonder camcorders, is powered by two double A batteries. Some other competing models have rechargeable batteries, that allows them to be a little thinner than this model. This is still fairly lightweight. You do get a couple of accessories in the box. There's a hand strap as well as a USB extender cable, and a neoprene carrying case. This is actually really, really cheap. In the end we can't rave about this product, but RCA's certainly got a lot of things right, just not quite everything.
