>> Hi, I'm Jasmine France senior associate editor for CNET.com and I'm here today with the RCA Pearl MP3 Player. And this is a flash faced player as you can probably tell it's so small. It comes in two color and capacity combinations. You have this nice dark blue version and this is a one gigabyte and it sells for about 40 dollars. And then you have a black version that's two gigabytes that sells for about 50 or 60 dollars. Very cheap obviously aimed at the budget minded. But it does have a descent array of features on here. Actually, you get the plug in USB port, just plugs right in means you can use it as storage device really handy it's small and pocket sized which is nice. The one thing I don't like is that it has a triple A disposable battery in here, which means you'll be replacing that often. And also, it's quite bogus it makes it so it's not very thin. This one does have a micro SD card expansion slot, which is always really handy. You get the hold switch here at the top. There's the menu button and a record button for doing voice recordings. One of my complaints here also is that when you have the headphones plugged in this button is really hard to press. So, if you're trying to make voice recordings you might be bothered by that. On the bottom here you have your standard volume rocker, track shuttle keys and a play pause key, and in the front a very small monochrome LCD. You're not gonna get pictures or videos on this, but that's really not what this player is for. The player sounds pretty good. It has a funky menu structure that I have been noticing in RCA players. But if you can get around that, you'll be rewarded with a good sounding player for a really good price. This one even has an FM radio for tuning into the radio when you get sick of your own music.
