>> Hi I'm Tom Merritt from CNET dot com, here's a quick tip for jumping to a location in the Amazon Kindle. Locations are ways to locate a particular part of the book. One way to skip forward is to scroll down to the progress bar and click. Numbers show up along the progress bar. Press the number that corresponds to the point in the book you'd like to skip to. If you want to be more precise, try locations. Your current location is found down here at the bottom just under the progress bar; it's a range of numbers. If you want to jump to a particular location, you're supposed to be able to just press the page number and the Kindle will take you directly to that location. That sort of works inconsistently for me. An alternative method is to scroll to menu and click, select go to location, then type in the location number. That worked every time.
