Metrocide, an unapologetically hard cyberpunk stealth shooter on show at PAX Aus 2014
Okay I'm here showing off Metrocide.
It's a top-down cyberpunk stealth-shooter game.
If you think of like, the original couple of Grand Theft Autos it's all pixel art style and everything and you play as a hitman.
And it's really really difficult.
So what would be some of the influences you were taking?
I would say for the setting something like.
Syndicate or Escape from New York or Blade Runner or something like or maybe Quarantine if you ever played that one.
For the control game either GTA 1 and 2 or Hotline Miami or something like that.
And for the difficulty Dark Soul.
And then for the gameply Hitman if it were a little more arcade-y.
And we hit early access about a week and a half ago you can get it for PC and Mac.
We'll be out of early access in about six weeks.
Basically the only reason we're on there is to figure out if we've made it fun hard, or frustrating hard.
