-What's up, guys?
Brian Tong here at MacWorld 2013 in San Francisco.
We're gonna check out the floor.
We've seen a lot of stuff from CES just a couple of weeks ago, but we're gonna have some fun and find out some of the unique things here that we wanna show you guys back at home.
All right, guys, we're here at Seagate's booth and we know how the
128 gig iPad was just announced but you know what, you don't really need this thing, that thing, especially with this---- this is Seagate's Wireless Plus Hard Drive.
Now, what it is, this is 1 terabyte of storage.
It's $199, it's available now but what makes this unique is, if you're familiar with Seagate's other hard drives, this allows you to have your iPad, your iPhone or other devices.
Talk to it wirelessly and then take the video information from here, movies, pictures, photos, things like that and shoot them out to something like your Apple TV or just watch it locally on your device.
Now, what also makes this interesting is that
you can stream 3 movies on 3 different devices at the same time, and they've also cleaned up the interface on the iPad apps so the art is a lot bigger, brighter, and the interface is a lot easier use.
Now, also, this has a 10-hour battery life.
The previous models had less than that.
So, it's really a cool way to add storage to your iPad without actually buying a new one and I'm really feeling this product.
Has your mom or your dad ever told you to sit up or stand taller?
Well, you know what?
We've got a solution here.
I'm here with Andrew Chang, one of the co-founders, and this is
a really interesting product that might come, you know, might surprise you see here in MacWorld, but tell us---- this is the LUMO.
-Yes.
It's the LUMOback and basically, it's a sensor band right here.
And when you wear it, it knows when you're slouching and it will vibrate when you slouch.
And I'm wearing one right now and as you can see, I'm sitting nice and straight.
If I start slouching, it will start slouching and it will vibrate when I'm slouching, right.
And that's gonna remind me to stand up nice and straight.
And what we're trying to do here is we're trying to build
muscle memory, so that people stand taller and sit straighter.
-So, can you simulate a sleeping position?
-Sure, if you want to.
-Yeah, like on the ground right now.
I wanna see it.
-Okay.
So, here I am----
-Let's see if this really works.
-sleeping on my left side, right?
And there you go, and if I roll over onto my stomach,
-Yeah.
-it's also on my stomach, right?
If I roll over to my left stomach,
-Yeah.
-it's rolling too.
You like that?
-Yeah.
That's actually----
-You like spooning?
-The LUMO is very
comfortable here.
I really like this, guys.
How much is the LUMOback?
-Right now, it retails for $149.
-Okay.
And there's a special here for the show, right?
-Yes and that's $99.
-So, you know how, you said the LUMO has like vibration feedback.
I actually felt something in my back also.
All right guys.
We're here at Belkin's booth.
This is like their soundproof room.
I'm here with my man, Brandon.
-Hi.
-A viewer of the Apple Byte.
-Yes.
-See?
Like how long you've been watching it?
-Maybe like 3 years now.
-He's hardcore, right?
So, this is really cool because this is one of the cool products here at the show.
This is---- I called it Thunderstorm but Brandon, what's the official title for this thing?
-It is the Belkin Thunderstorm Handheld Home Theater for the iPad.
Apple manufactured, great devices but they haven't yet mastered the audio even if----
-Oh, you're dead, no----
-It's true, it's true.
So, I mean, even playing this trailer now, just out of the Apple's sound output, it's not too good.
But instantly, it's transformed
once you use our device.
-Take a bloody shot.
-There you go.
But it's also sound you can feel.
You got a sound you can feel, you gotta pick it up.
-Okay.
Let me---- here we go.
-Did you see that man?
-Oh, it's the thunder down under, baby.
-It vibrates.
Yes, that's true.
-Oh, my gosh.
No, this is really cool.
I mean, you can hear, I know you guys at home can't but you can hear the base.
Now, how much is it gonna be?
-It's gonna retail for $199.
-Okay and----
-It's available now on belkin.com.
We have our 30 conversion, our lining is not gonna ship into the spring but also available for $199.
-Okay.
There you go.
So, there you have it.
Belkin Thunderstorm.
We like this one too.
-Thunder.
-Thunder.
-Thunderstorm, oh.
-Oh, man.
Ladies, ladies.
-Oh, hey.
-It's been a long show.
-Really?
-No way.
-How do you guys do it?
-Wheels.
-Yeah.
-All right.
Are you all doing all right?
-Yeah, my own way.
-Okay.
You're [unk] here.
-[unk] 50 more days.
-Wants to see a little pizza here.
That's right.
All right, guys.
-That's great.
-Apple Byte is signing out, MacWorld 2013.
We'll see you guys next year.
-Fidelity.
-This is good.
Real good.
