Hi.
I'm Scott Stein at CES 2013.
Now when it comes to laptops, the main story is been about touch and small tablet-like devices.
But there are a couple of other new wrinkles.
In the world of business laptops, Lenovo has a one-cable system for connecting to all of your ports in one with an additional little dock connector that sounds a bit like Thunderbolt but it's different.
It's called OneLink, and the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E431 and 531
are gonna be the first laptops to feature this.
And they're pretty affordable with about $550 starting price, the dock is also affordable $99.
And this one cable connects and you got USB 3.0, USB 2, powered USB 3.0, HTMI, Ethernet.
You know, basically the whole kit and caboodle, in a really compact little form, audio out as well.
Who know whether it will be proprietary with this Lenovo or spread out to other laptops but it's a pretty nice idea, especially if you want to keep your connectivity
pretty slim.
