This is the Kindle Voyage Amazon's top of the line e-reader which starts at $199 for the wi-fi only.
Special offers for ad supported version.
And also comes in a step up version with 3G for $269.
I'm David Carnoy, and the Voyage is the first Kindle e-reader to feature a flush glass front and magnesium back.
It's also the slimmest Kindle, measuring 7.6 millimeters thick and weighing 180 grams, or 6.3 ounces.
It's also the nicest Kindle I've used to date.
The Voyage uses a new six-inch Carta e-ink HD touchscreen display with 300 pixels per inch resolution.
Also, its display stack uses chemically strengthened glass, which Amazon says is designed to resist scratches.
Like the step down Paperwhite, which remains on the market at $119, this model has a capacitive touchscreen and integrated light.
That light is brighter in the Voyage and displays across the screen a little more uniformly.
As always, you can just touch the screen to turn the page, but Amazon has also equipped the Voyage with a couple of pressure sensitive page turn buttons on each side of the screen that emit a little bit of haptic feedback when you press them.
All the new Kindle's including the entry level $79 model are powered by one gigahertz processor and have four gigabytes of built in memory with no expansion.
The Voyage has one gigabyte of ram compared to 500 megabytes for the step down models which makes this device a tad zippier, no case is included either, it's probably a good idea to get one.
Amazon makes this really nice one you see here.
But it is rather pricey.
Other more affordable options are available.
It isn't a huge upgrade over the paper white, but the screen's a little sharper, the lighting [UNKNOWN] is a little better, and the device is a little lighter and sleeker.
Whether it's worth spending the extra $80 on this model versus the Paperwhite is debatable.
But heavy e-readers who use their device daily and want the best Amazon has to offer this is it no doubt about it.
I'm David Carnoy thanks for watching.
