>> Rich DeMuro with CNET TV in New York City at the Apple store where the iPhone is set to launch later today at 6 o'clock. Right now it's about 4:50 in the afternoon. Yesterday when we were here, there were about 19 people waiting in line for this phone. Today, as you can see, hundreds more. All waiting for this brand new device.

>> No just, yeah to come and sit here.
>> Definitely more guys waiting for the iPhone than women. Why do you think that is?
>> You're gonna kill me when I give you this answer. I'm waiting for a phone for him.
>> It's really, it's really kinda hitting me now. Just the madness of it and just what a really big deal it is.
>> So it's several hundred people in line. Of course, not everyone is here to keep the phone for themselves and you say you're gonna put it on Ebay.
>> Well, I'm gonna keep one for myself, but then after that I'm gonna probably put it on Ebay. Try to make double the money. But if that doesn't happen, I'm gonna give it to my mother.
>> Aw, look how nice that is.
>> 45 more minutes.
>> What are you looking forward to using your iPhone for?
>> Just the fact that I can put all my music and everything on there and it has a touch screen and I don't know. I seen the commercials, it looks really cool.
>> And this wouldn't be America if you weren't five steps from a Starbuck's, serving coffee.
>> That's what we do.
>> Smells good.
>> Thank you.
>> Not even sure if I'm allowed to be standing here, but just take a look at all the press waiting with a half and hour to go to capture the first people inside those doors. Just about 15 minutes to go and you can actually see down into the store since it's glass. The employees are down there getting all pumped up and you can even see the iPhones being taken out of the box and put on display.

>> Twenty two hours.
>> And now you got them. Show us your iPhones real quick.

>> Pleased. I don't know about proud. Anyone could have done this, but I'm pleased.
>> I got the phone. I love it. I'm so excited.
>> Well so far it's not much you can do is because it's not activated.
>> Tuesday 4 am to 6 20 on Friday night, how do you feel?
>> I feel really good actually.
>> It's 6 40, after 40 minutes of begging, I'm finally gonna get to go inside.

>> The moment you've been waiting for, presenting Apple TV. Some people waiting hours or days, how long did you wait?
>> Half an hour.
>> That's it?

>> You have to take it out of the box to make the call. But here it is, 8 gigs. It's a beauty. So you guys just look very satisfied and relaxed here.

>> Give me a sense of the energy inside this store.
>> It's, it's just overwhelming. Everybody here is just so excited and you can just feel it. Everybody is just so happy to get their phones and it's just a really good time, really good feeling.
