>> You've probably had a situation where an application
or game freezes in your iPhone and you've done a hard
restart. But there's a better way. I'm Brian Tong with
cnet.com, and I'm going to show you how to force quit an
app so you can still keep your phone up and running.
Now this is for iPhone and iPhone 3G users. All you
have to do is hold the Home button for about five
seconds. It will force quit the app, and you're back up
and running. But for iPhone 3G S users it's a little
different because holding the Home button brings up the
voice control feature. So if you want to force quit an
app hold the power button for about five seconds. Once
you see the Slide to Power Off option appear, release
the power button, then hold the Home button for five
seconds, and it will force quit your app. I know it's
an extra step, but it accomplishes the same thing. I'm
Brian Tong from cnet.com, and that's how you force quit
an app from your iPhone. Use it wisely.
