But now that he has moved across to the German brand Elac, you might need to borrow some digits from a friend.
The new B series speakers are extraordinary.
The B6 is the middle speaker in the series, and offers the best value.
It's a large stand mount speaker with a 6.5 inch driver, and a semi-horn mounted tweeter.
As far as build quality is concerned, it doesn't look like a value speaker.
It comes with an attractive vinyl wrap, And it's only $290 for a pair.
These are very even handed speakers with surprisingly deep, tuneful bass, and only the slightest hint of vocal presence boost.
As with all of Andrew Jones' speakers so far, they sound good with pretty much everything, and they like to go really loud.
Compared to the slightly cheaper [UNKNOWN], The B6s sound fuller and have better bass handling.
It's worth the extra 50 bucks.
Whether you use them as the basis for a home cinema or a stereo music system, the ELAC B6 is now the best speaker set under $300.
