Today is press conference day which means that basically I run around to different conferences from the likes of Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba and many more and try to see if they announce anything interesting and let me tell you I see quickly emerge this year CES 2010 is all about the 3D. >> Do you want to know why I love 3D? Yeah more bandwidth: 240 hertz out of a Blu-ray player. Oh I love all those manufactures. >> LG goes 3D in a big way. We will be launching LCD and [inaudible] TVs as well as a newly developed 3D projector. >> This one here, the 9000 at less than .3 inches Samsungs slimmest LED TV ever. Today we complete the picture by unveiling a complete 3D home ecosystem. It's a total solution including a 3D TV, a 3D Blu-ray player, a 3D home theater system, light and comfortable active shutter glasses and of course 3D content. >> 3 months innovation at Samsung as we have a great history of working together and now we're expanding our relationship into the 3D space. ^M00:01:37 [ Music ] ^M00:01:41 >> I'm joining you live from Osaka to announce the opening of the [inaudible] 3D TV era to help put 3D TV on a strong footing we have focused on developing end to end 3D TV solutions including [inaudible] lens, 3D through HD video camera. ^M00:02:03 [ Music ] ^M00:02:10 >> Last month Sony announced a partnership with 3D theatrical pioneer Real D to provide Bravia television compatibility for their stereoscopic formats and premium 3D eyewear and yesterday we announced an exciting new partnership with discovery communications and IMAX corporation to develop a ground breaking 3D television network in the US that will deliver dazzling 3D programming to consumers. Next month we will open the Sony 3D technology center on the Sony pictures lot in Culver City California. This new facility will offer both internal and external clients the hands on opportunity to learn about the cutting edge techniques and equipment used to create top quality 3D productions of all kind. >> And there you have it it's shaping up to be a 3D kind of year but we'll have to wait and see whether all of these TV makers can convince us to sit around in those funny glasses.
