Hi guys I'm Antuan Goodwin on the floor at the 2015 New York Auto Show taking a look at Scion's new 2016 iM hatch back.
Now what's interesting about the iM is that well it should probably look pretty familiar to our European viewers.
And that's because it's basically a rebadge of Toyota's Auris.
Five door hatch back which has been available in that market for some time now.
Under the hood we're looking at a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder engine that's gonna put out about 130 horsepower.
The Ion's available either with a six speed manual transmission or a CVT that's gonna have a seven speed [UNKNOWN] shift mode.
And both of those are gonna put power to the front wheels.
Scion tells us that the thing is going to be a fun and versatile vehicle for younger buyers.
And I think it's going to fill nicely in the void left by the Toyota Matrix couple of years ago.
Now we don't actually have final pricing on this, but when it hits the market near the end of the year, they're expecting under $20,000.
And along with Scion's laundry list of performance and style upgrades that you can add to this vehicle, they're also going to be offering a bunch of pet friendly upgrades.
Putting dog harnesses and thing like that.
