We go hands on with the feature-packed Panasonic Lumix SZ7
Tech Industry
Hey there.
I am Josh Goldman, Senior Editor with CNET here at CES 2012 and this is the first look at the Panasonic Lumix SZ7.
Given its slim size, you probably wouldn't think it has much of a zoom in it but it's packed in a 10x LEICA lens.
Starts off at a ultra wide angle, 25 millimeters, goes out to 250.
Thankfully, this camera doesn't just stop at that lens.
You get a fast 14 megapixel CMOS sensor.
It records in AVCHD, at full HD or you can also record in MPEG 4 if you want.
You get one touch record on that too.
So along with that lens and all the movie stuff I just mentioned, you get a lightning speed AF System allowing you a better chance at capturing the shot you want.
And one last cool feature, in years past the Lumix, you need it to pop out the battery to charge it but now you can charge by USB.
So no longer having to worry about finding that charger.
You just need to plug it in to a USB cable and you're done.
So if you're looking for a fast, lightweight, ultra compact without sacrificing zoom, the Panasonic Lumix SZ7 looks like a safe bet.
