If you're anything like me, your mom wanted you to be a doctor.
Today is my chance.
I'm gonna be using the OSSO VR, which uses off the shelf gaming VR equipment, this is an Oculus Rift, to teach surgical procedures.
Let's try it out So this is the Osso VR, and it's designed to help surgeons get practice without having to open up people.
I was fixing some poor person's busted leg.
I'll imagine he maybe fell off a treadmill or something.
The VR training tells me what to do step by step.
When you use the mallet or the drill, you do feel a bit of haptic feedback.
The co-founder of Osso told me But the light haptic feedback was actually beneficial.
Hyper realistic feedback just did not produce results.
That also meant you could train to be a doctor using something as inexpensive as an oculus.
So VR serves several needs, it helps doctors understand, read the spatial dynamics By letting them know how to manipulate objects and the human body additionally you can practice in teams and you don't even have to be in the same physical space when things go great you can even high five your team mates and yes there is [UNKNOWN] Feed back for that also once you get sorted to experience with scenarios that rarely happen but are incredibly important The company has partnered with lots of organizations to make sure its simulation is as real as possible.
That's it for me, I'm Dr. [UNKNOWN].
Okay, no I'm not.
