Sentri is a product that we first wrote up over a year ago.
Back then it was a Kickstarter concept, some thing that was really novel, because it has this iPad ascetic, But we weren't sure how it would work as a security device.
Similar to all in one security devices like Piper and the newer Piper entity, Sentri has a lot of features.
It has a built in temperature sensor, a built in humidity sensor, and a sensor that can detect volatile organic compounds, VOCs, basically bad stuff that's in your air.
It has a built in siren and a 120 degree It is also designed to integrate with select third party products like Nest thermostat, Belkin Nemo products, and Philips LEDs.
And while set up and it's overall performance seemed pretty good so far, I'm not convinced with it's overall value.
I mean it costs 300 bucks and it does roughly the same thing as WiThings Home, a $200 security camera that's much smaller, much less clunky.
I will continue to test Century over the coming days so check back soon for a full review.
