Third Rail Slim Case for iPhone 4 with Slide-on Battery
-You bought cases and juice pack for your phone only to know that you have to let them go when you change to a new phone.
What if you don't have to do that?
Hello, my name is Dong Ngo and I have here the first juice pack that you won't ever to have part with, at least not completely: the slim case for iPhone 4 with slide on smart battery from [unk].
Now as the lengthy name suggest, this device has 2 parts: the case and the smart battery.
The case fits only
the iPhone 4 and makes one of the slimmest among its peers.
It's, however, longer than others as, at the bottom here, it has to house a built in 30-pin connector.
At the bottom you would also find a micro USB port used for charging and syncing the phone with the computer.
There's also an on/off switch to control the flow of power from the battery.
On top here, you can see another little connector.
It is to be used with the battery.
The detach battery can be clipped on and stay firm on the case
to form the juice pack.
It can also be taken out easily.
The idea is that you use the phone with the just the case for calling and texting and when you're done with it, you can clip the battery on for charging.
Once attached together, you can charge both the battery and the phone via 1 single cable connected to either of the case or the battery itself.
The battery has 2 ports: one is the standard micro USB port for charging; and the other is called out port.
This port is to be used with an included
USB adaptor to power any other mobile devices such as another iPhone, or the iPod Touch, or any other smartphone that use USB port for charging.
The best thing about this design is the fact that the battery, which is the most expensive part, can be reused as you change to another phone.
In this case just use the battery as a backup power source via the USB adaptor cable or by a similar supporting case for the new device and clip the battery on.
[unk] says it
would release more cases for other devices in the near future.
This also means when the battery deteriorates, which battery do over time, you won't need to replace the whole case, but just the battery itself.
The slim case for iPhone 4 with slide on smart battery cost $80 and includes 1 case and 1 battery.
You can also buy just the case itself for $4 or just the battery for $60.
For more information on how this works, check out the full review at cnet.com.
Once again, my name is
Dong Ngo and this has been the first look at the slim case for iPhone 4 with slide on smart battery from [unk].
