>> Hey everyone, welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Veronica Belmont. OS X's folders are a great way to organize your folders, but they're not without their limitations. Dealing with multiple copies of the similar files stored in eight different folders can lead to confusion and wasted time and space. Enter Smart Folders. Sort of a folder version of iTunes Smart Playlist, they're an easy way to group files without actually moving them. With the finder active, choose file and then New Smart Folder. Let's say, you want to group all your music together. Click the plus sign at the far right and select Kind is Music. All your audio files appear instantly and from there just click save. Chose a name and location for your Smart Folder and it will be there for future reference. And they will even show up in the sidebar unless you uncheck the box when you save. It's that simple and it works with any search string you can think of. Now, if you have a tip or trick that you wanna share, then e-mail us at tekzilla@revision3.com. And don't forget tekzilla.com, it's "The Place" to find more tips, tricks, product reviews and how-tos.
