>> [Music] If you're looking for a full feature, high performer NAS server for your business, look no further than the one I have here. Hello, my name is Dong Ngo, and this is the Synology DiskStation DS410. The DS410 is a first [inaudible] NAS server with [inaudible].
The server can handle four center hard drives offering up to 8 terabytes of storage. This hard drive can be set up in many different rack configurations such as RAID 5, RAID 1, RAID 0, and so on. Unfortunately, it's not convenient to install or replace the hard drives. First, you have to open the service back by the fans here, then take out the top. You can do that with your bare hands. Now you get to the hard drive, from here on, you will need to use a screwdriver to get the rest of the job done. It would be a much better design if the hard drive could be replaced without having to take the server apart like this. By the way, these two fan are standard computer fan and can be easily replaced. This is a good design, on the other hand, as fan tend to be the component that wears out the fastest. On the back, the DS410 has one [inaudible] and two USB ports to hold additional storage devices or printers. Unlike other NAS servers from Synology, the DS410 doesn't have a USB port on the front. The server perform very fast in our testing and comes with an excellent [inaudible] interface. It also has a vast amount of feature and can handle up to twelve IP cameras, a great bonus if you want to set up a surveillance system with it. Note that only one camera license is included, and you have to pay about $50 for each additional license. The server can record images based on motion detection or scheduling. Savvy users will love the DS410, but home user might find intimidating. For this reason, it's best used for home office or small business environments as long as you can afford it. The server costs around $500 without any storage. It's also a 4-terabyte version that costs about $1200. While these are big numbers, this is actually the most affordable [inaudible] NAS servers on the market considering the performance and the amount of features.
