Snapchat is bigger than Twitter.
According to a report by Bloomberg Snapchat has 150 million daily users.
Twitter has an estimated 140 million people using the service daily.
That Twitter number was figured out from Twitter's official monthly metric of 310 million active users.
Neither company confirmed their daily user numbers.
If these figures are accurate that's bad news for Twitter as the services has been struggling to compete in the social media space.
Twitter has been around for ten years while Snapchat has been around for only four years.
Twitter's CEO Jack Dorsey spoke at the Code Conference this week and said he finds Snapchat Very modern and applauded its interface.
Dorsey even described Twitter as confusing.
That's not a good sign, right?
Meanwhile, a New York Post reports says Twitter briefly looked into merging with Yahoo!
The same report said Yahoo!'s CEO, Marissa Mayer, met with some Twitter executives several weeks ago But Twitter's CEO was not present.
Both Yahoo!
and Twitter did not respond to this rumor.
However, if you put together the idea that Twitter's already confusing, as described by its own CEO, a merger with the big purple search giant probably We won't help things.
Maybe a twitter, snapchat merger makes more sense but what do I know.
That's it for this TechNews update.
