So if you do have an iPhone, sorry, I hope that you knew that before that you bought the galaxy watch for, because it won't work. Okay. Let's get into the process of pairing it with a Samsung galaxy phone.
Speaker 1: First up first, you'll wanna make sure that your Samsung account is already logged in on the phone. Then download the galaxy wearable app. You can get this from either the play store or [00:01:00] the galaxy store, then make sure Bluetooth is turned on by going to the settings menu on your phone and selecting Bluetooth. The watch should have some charge in it if you've just pulled it out of the box, but if it needs some extra juice, just leave it on the charger a little while. Once it's topped up, turn it on by pressing and holding this top button. Open up the galaxy wearable app and press start. You can grant location access. If you like. Now, if you already got the galaxy wearable [00:01:30] app and you have another device connected, you'll just need to tap the three lines on the top left and select add new device.
Speaker 1: Now bring your watch nearby to the phone and you should see it appear on the list. Tap it, then confirm the code on the watch matches the one on the phone. Now the watch is paired, but it will probably still need to download a software update or some extra plugins and ask you to review the terms and conditions for both the watch and for Google. You'll probably also get a series of prompts, [00:02:00] asking you to give permission for the watch to access your text calls, text messages, and so on. Make sure to select yes to these otherwise you won't be able to get any notifications on your wrist. The next step is you'll want to sign in or link the Google account. That's already on your phone. Now this is optional, but recommended. If you do use a lot of Google services along the way, you might also see a prompt asking you to restore from a backup.
Speaker 1: But if this is your first Samsung on galaxy watch, you probably won't [00:02:30] see that just select next or skip and wait for the mesmerizing animation. And you are all set. Now, if you bought the LTE or cellular version of the galaxy, watch four, you will also see a prompt asking the you to set it up with your carrier. You'll still need to download the galaxy wearable app from the play store, except during the process.
Speaker 1: It might also push you back out to the store to install certain plugins for the watch. It might also ask you to sign into your Samsung account. Now this step is optional, but it will help if you wanna do things like [00:03:30] find the watch on a map. If you lose it or use Samsung apps like Samsung pay this bezel is so sad as fine. Okay?
