>>Hi I'm Bonnie Cha, Senior Editor at CNET.com and today we are taking a first look at the Samsung Omnia. It's not available in the United States yet but we thought we'd just give you a little preview of what's to come. It's drawn a lot of comparisons to the iPhone because of the touch screen but Samsung has its own interface and it's called Touchwhiz and what it is you have this tray over here of widgets that you can drag and drop to the main screen and just really customize it to make it your own. Also it has an accelerometer so when you rotate the screen it will automatically rotate with you. Also down here this can be used as a directional keypad but you can also use it as an optical mouse in the settings menu you can switch it. Pretty useful if you're using it for web pages but otherwise, you know, I find it just easier to use the touch screen. As far as features, it's gonna be running Windows Mobile 6.1. Can't really tell when you're first using it because of the Touchwhiz interface which might be a good thing because Windows Mobile can be kind of difficult to use. It's got a 5 megapixel camera which is probably the highest I've seen along with a Nokia N95 on a Smartphone. Also got Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and GPS. Just a really nice powerful Smartphone, I think, if you don't want the iPhone it's a nice alternative. You can get it right now, if you want, for about $650 but I would maybe wait till the holiday season. I think there's a good chance it will come [Background music] to the United States soon.
