>> I'm John Falcone, senior editor at CNET.com and this is the Samsung HTX70. This is a home theater in a box system. The big story with this one is it's delivering a lot of value for the money. It's got a five disc CD DVD changer, it also has HDMI output with scaling up to 1080I and it's also really good on a lot of digital media formats in addition to the front panel USB port that can read Divix[Sp?], MP3 and JPEG files off of USB drives, you can also read those exact same files off disks that you burn and place in the player as well. On the conductivity front it's a lot better than average for this entry-level price point as well, in addition to the front panel inputs which include auxiliary in, head phones and USB, it can also use them to read any iPod that it comes with this cable that connects to any standard 30 pin iPod. On the back panel you also get and HDMI pass through input, there is also an analog, audio input and a digital input in the back as well as XM ready support for XM satellite services. In addition to the standard 5.1 surround sound you get, you can also invest in a wireless system for the rear channel speakers if you want no wires going all the way to the front and back of the room. In terms of performance, it's pretty much what you would expect from a home theater system of this price and that's not bad. I'm John Falcone for CNET and this is the Samsung HTX70.
