It starts up pretty fast and starts recording at the press of the button.
Setting here pretty luminade but you do get wiped out in control and some fun video effects and there's this My Clip Feature, that let you tag a scene from a longer video, so you don't have to search for a particular point in your shot.
And if that's not enough for you, you can shoot 5 Megapixel photos or capture 2 Megapixel stills, while you're shooting in Full HD.
The video quality is good, (on par?) with the higher end smartphone or point and shoot camera.
But again, this one, you can take in water or hand off to someone else without worrying about getting easily destroyed.
