Howard has history with Lucas Film.
He worked as actor on George Lucas' 1973 breakout film American Graffiti And in the late 80's he directed Lucas's fantasy flick, Willow.
Of course it wouldn't be Howard's first time dealing with space drama.

Although a Kessel run may be more complicated than a slingshot around the moon.
