Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg reportedly warned lawmakers and other officials about the rise of popular video app Tiktok during trips to Washington DC last year.
At a private dinner at the White House in October, the tech executive apparently tried to convince the president that the threat Chinese internet companies pose to American business.
Should be a bigger concern than reining in Facebook, according to a report Sunday from the Wall Street Journal Speaking of which Tick Tock is suing the current administration for an executive order that would effectively ban the short form video app in the US on September 20.
The lawsuit was filed Monday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
Tic Tock said the August 6 executive order issued by the president didn't follow due process or provide evidence that tic toc was an actual threat.
The order also failed to justify quote its punitive actions the company said in a blog post.
And finally audible the Amazon owned online audiobook and podcast platform.
