Most anticipated products
Well if youre like me you are looking at all your tech gear right now and saying, Wow I
am I bored.
You need something new dont you?
I am Brian Cooley with the Top five
most aniticpated products that you should, unfortunately, wait a little longer for.
Lets get
started.
#5 Vizio XVT3D6SP series TVs
This TV series was our Best of CES winner in the TV category back in January because
it had almost everything anyone was talking about.
Now we just plain want it.
Passive
3D, LED, integration with Vizios new Android phone and tablet, Vizio Internet Apps --
which have been our favorite -- and its the first TV with embedded OnLive gaming!
Maybe theyre just looking for a truck big enough to hold all that goodness.
#4 PS VitaPlayStation Vita
The PlayStation Go didnt really go anywhere, but were still intrigued by Sony's pending
whack at portable gaming consoles.
Better graphics, yeah, 3G, yeah, dual joysticks,
cameras, touchpads and a multitouch 5-inch OLED screen add up to cool hardware.
But
that intangible experience has to deliver.
#3 Samsung Nexus Prime
Android is hot, so the first device to run any new version of it gets big buzz.
Enter the
Samsung Nexus Prime, due late 2011 and supposedly the first phone to run Andoid 4.0,
code-named Ice Cream Sandwich in the ridiculous tradition of Android releases.
It
should generate hype for having NO buttons at all, all touch.
So its good the screen
should be huge, a true 720p line resolution compared to 540 lines on top phones today.
#2 Amazon Tablet
Amazon legitimized the e-reader category.
They missed the chance to do that with
tablets, but they would sure love to take a bite out of Apples ass with a strong #2 player.
So rumor is they will roll out a 10 and 7 Android tablet by end of 2011.
Look for the key
differentiators here to be perhaps a lower price, but more importantly integration with
services from Amazon like the Kindle store and Amazon Instant Video, as well as some
of that for free if youre Amazon Prime.
Before we get to the #1 most awaited product, maybe youre too antsy to wait for any of
these.
In that case, make sure you take a look at our recent Top 5 Hottest Products
where Molly Wood shows you whats hottest right now with millions of CNET users.
#1 iPhone 5
Any new iPhone will be #1, you know that, but what will iPhone 5 be?
Top bets are for
an 8MP camera, a display that goes edge to edge in a thinner teardrop case...
an A5
dual core processor on par with the on inside an iPad2, and possible a new curved
shape that would make it look like no other iPhone.
4G network support still seems
unlikely at this point, though, but we do know that if it arrives in Fall 2011 that will
dovetial nicely with iOS5 and iCloud.
OK, stand by, theres a lot of good tech products coming every day at cnet.com, and for
more Top 5s like this one go to Top5.cnet.com.
I am Brian Cooley, thanks for watching.
