[ Background music ] >> Justin Yu: If you're shopping for a new multitasker for your home or small office and don't mind another touch screen in your life Lexmark might have the device for you. I'm Justin Yu Associate Editor for CNET.com with a first look at the Lexmark Interact S605 multifunction printer. The first thing that makes the Lexmark Interact stand out is its massive 4.3 inch touch screen LCD on the front. There are no physical buttons on this printer aside from the single power button to the left and everything you need to control the printer is done with the virtual buttons that appear on the screen, which reduces clutter and also allows for customization through what Lexmark calls smart solutions. Now we're still not fully convinced that touch screens belong on printers, but Lexmark is certainly an innovator in this space. So let's take a quick look at the rest of the printer. The straight forward design has a media card reader on the front, as well as a picked bridge USB port for direct photo transfers and 2 trays fold out of the front and rear that take care of paper handling. In addition to Ethernet network and USB connectivity the printer is also set up to connect your wireless router and we were able to establish a handshake in less than 5 minutes using the simple on screen instructions. Even though it couldn't beat out an Epson All in one for the top spot, you won't really notice a difference unless you're printing tons of pages at a time. You can get plenty more info on this printer including warranty information, detailed performance charts, and a feature run down in our full review on CNET.com but that's gonna do it for me. You just took a first look at the Lexmark Interact S6O5. I'm Justin Yu and that sounds good to me.
