>> [Jasmine France:] I've said it before and I'll say it again: music is a great motivator at the gym, but the earbuds that come packaged with your MP3 player aren't optimal for excessive, sweaty activity. For that you want a durable set that offers a comfortable, secure fit. I'm Jasmine France, and I have one such pair here in my hands, the JayBird Endorphin Rush Athletic Earphones. And yes, with a name like that they had better be fitness-friendly. The great thing about the Endorphin Rush earphones is that they come with a wide variety of ear tips to help just about anyone get a comfy fit. Plus the package includes a removable set of ear clips which will ensure the earbuds stay put during just about any activity. I also like the thick cable and the reinforced L-plug, both of which indicate durability in the long run. JayBird also includes a cable wrap and a useful zippered carrying case for protecting the earphones when you're not using them. The downsides here are pretty minimal but still worth mentioning. First, the earpieces of the earphones are quite large, which means they may not fit everyone. And also while sound quality is solid and bass is big, some music comes across sounding hollow and cold. Still, for 99 dollars I have no problem recommending this set for active users. I'm Jasmine France for CNET.
