HP's Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4 has a touch display
Laptops
-Hey there, I'm Josh Goldman, senior editor with CNET, and this is a look at the HP Envy TouchSmart Ultrabook 4. Now, with a starting price of $799, the Envy is a step down from the Spectre XT TouchSmart which starts at $1399.
They look a lot alike, though, with a silver and black brushed metal finish and a large keyboard and touchpad, but the Envy is thicker at nearly an inch and
weighs just under 5 pounds.
The Envy's 14-inch screen has a 1366 x 768 resolution instead of the 1920 x 1080 IPS panel on the Spectre.
But as their names imply, they both have touchscreens for using the Windows 8 interface.
Inside this Envy is a core i5 processor, 4GB of memory, and a 500GB hybrid hard drive.
Add in the backlit keyboard and the price for this configuration
comes in a few bucks over $900.
The port assortment is good too including two USB 3.0 ports, but we're still testing it out, so check back soon for a full review, although it looks like a pretty good option if you're looking for a regular Windows 8 laptop with the benefits of a touch display.
