Hi, I'm Lori Grunin, senior editor with CNET, here at CES 2012 with the Canon PowerShot G1X.
The G1X is the big brother to the G12 and it slides in to the line at about $800 above it.
It's slightly bigger but it has a relatively large sensor.
It's not quite APSC but it's bigger than a...
for a third sensor which we hope bodes well for the photo quality.
Overall it has a very similar design characteristics to the G12 and I think a design that appeal to users who are into enthusiast compacts.
(I think the?) Viewfinder does seem a little small but it has a large (full dot?) LCD and a lot of features that I'm looking forward to testing.
I'm Lori Grunin and this is the Canon PowerShot G1X.
