Hello, my name is Dong Ngo at the Pepcom floor for CNET and this is the latest router from D-Link, the DIR-857 media router.
Now this is the true dual-band router, meaning, it can work in both 2.4 gigahertz and 5 gigahertz frequency at the same time.
The difference is this router, on the 5 gigahertz frequency, can podcast the speed up to 40 or 50 megabit per second.
This router also have one very special feature.
It's the first router that has the SD card slot on the front here, which means, you can insert an SD card in there and share the data stored on the card.
Now, this is gigabit router, meaning, all the ports of the router, including 4 LAN ports and WAN port, they're all gigabit and that means it can transfer speed up to 1000 megabit per second.
On the back here you see all the ports and also the one USB port that can be used to host any USB devices into a printer or external hard drive.
The router has a very sleek design, which unfortunately, attracts the fingerprints very easily.
So the router is gonna be available within the first quarter of the year and it's gonna cost less than $200.
