AutoComplete: Mercedes is testing its Project One hypercar on the road

Here is what's making news on Road Show. When Mercedes-AMG introduced its Project One hyper car, it came across as total science fiction. I mean, it has a real deal Mercedes F1 engine that runs to like a zillion RPM, and it was recently seen testing on road in England, which means it's now science fact. Mercedes is planning on building 275 of these technological terrors, offering them to buyers for the tidy little sum of $2.72 million. We've driven the Genesis G70 and we liked it a lot. It seems like a legit 3 series competitor. But we were missing one important puzzle piece. The price. Now, we know that the G70 will start at the decidedly reasonable, 35 ish grand for the base two liter, four cylinder, rear wheel drive model. Prices go up from there, but we'd have the two turbo sport trim with it's manual transmission, Rembo brakes and it's sport's exhaust and Michelin Pilot Sport four tires for just $37,900, Peugeot teased us the other day with some shots of it's forthcoming concept for the Paris Auto Show. But now they've shown us the whole thing and told us the name. It's called the Peugeot E-Legend and it's a really, really good looking car. The E-Legend is, surprise, surprise, electric and autonomous and takes a lot of it's styling queues from the gorgeous Peugeot 504 coupe of the late 1960s and early 1970s. We definitely want it.
