Apple may ditch Touch ID next year, Twitter targets harassment
This is CNET and here are the stories that matter right now.
Next year's iPhones could all feature face recognition, not just the top of the line models.
In a report on Mac rumours, KGI Securities' analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, said all 2018 iPhones are likely to have face ID facial recognition instead of Touch ID.
While Apple didn't comment on the rumors, it could mean the end of the home button and fingerprint sensors on the iPhone from next year.
Twitter CEO Jaco Dorsey says the company will start taking a more aggressive stance on abusive content shared on the platform, including non-consensual nudity, hate symbols, and tweets that glorify violence.
The move comes after actress Rose McGowan took to Twitter to speak up about sexual harassment before her account was frozen.
While Dorcey says McGowan shared private information in one of her Tweets, which lead to the freeze, he said voices were still being silenced everyday on Twitter and the company was not doing enough to address the problem.
And finally, NASA has taken a fidget spinner into space in a crazy bid to teach the kids of the world about Newton's laws of motion.
Yes, really!
NASA astronaut Randy Bresnik tweeted a video of himself and the rest of the crew on the International Space Station playing away with the NASA branded spinner Proving there's nothing that can't be done in the name of science.
