The Buick envision has been completely redesigned for 2021.
The middle child in this brands Utility Vehicle lineup has been transformed from dumpy and dull into something that actually has sex appeal.
More stylish and upscale.
The 2021 envision is lower and wider than its predecessor.
It also rides atop a slightly longer wheelbase and its body has been shortened by about an inch.
Now these nips and tucks give this vehicle much more attractive proportions with a long front end and swept back windshield plus a perky little rear This build has a bit of Mazda in its profile and that is not a bad thing.
For added pizzazz wheels spanning up to 20 inches are available.
The new Envision is offered in three different grades there's preferred essence and Avenir.
Now, this is the first time Buick is offering the Envision in Avenir trim which gets you upgrades like a mesh grille, inserts and special wheels on the outside.

The avenir model is also available with continuous damping control a suspension system that automatically adjusts the shock absorbers to help deliver a smoother ride.

The envisions cabin looks dramatically more upscale than before with its instrument panel noticeably angled toward the driver, front and center on that dashboard is a new infotainment system with a generous 10.2 inch touchscreen.

The invasions body and cabin are pretty racy, but its power train sounds hella about as exciting as a dial up internet connection.
Just one engine is offered a two liter turbocharged four cylinder and disappointingly it only delivers 228 horsepower and 258 pound feet of torque appreciably less than the outgoing envisions two liter turbo Which was rated at 252 horses and 295 pounds a twist.
As for the transmission, a nine speed automatic handle shifting duties and helps deliver pretty good fuel economy.

This vehicle returns 26 miles per gallon combined but if you opt for the available all wheel drive system that score only drops to 25 mpg.
Engine output is down and unfortunately so is cargo space.
The 2021 envision offers 25.2 cubic feet of room behind the second row seat and 52.7 cubes when the rear backrest is dropped, and both of those figures are slightly less than what you get in the outgoing model.

The Buick envision is no longer frumpy and forgettable.
