>> Everyone's trying to spot the next Prius. Well this might be it or at least a sliver of it. It's pronounced the 1X because it does what other cars do with 1X the fuel, weight and waste. Like in this case, two thirds less weight than the current Prius or just about 930 pounds thanks to extensive carbon fiber. That's a huge drop in weight which therefore makes possible a tiny power train, composed of a 500 CC engine in an electric hybrid configuration with the whole power train shoved to the back driving the rear wheels. The result--the 1X will deliver twice the MPG of the current Prius. It also has plug-in technology so you could run it extensively as an electric-only car.
