Like in this case, two thirds less weight than the current Prius or just about 930 pounds thanks to extensive carbon fiber. That's a huge drop in weight which therefore makes possible a tiny power train, composed of a 500 CC engine in an electric hybrid configuration with the whole power train shoved to the back driving the rear wheels. The result--the 1X will deliver twice the MPG of the current Prius. It also has plug-in technology so you could run it extensively as an electric-only car.
