80-mpg Hyundai HyperEconiq Ioniq is a fuel-saving saviour at SEMA
It's not just guest car monstrosities here at Sema, Hyundai is showing off a hybrid Ionic that is tuned more for hyper miling that it is for speed.
Meet the Bisimoto hyper econic Ionic.
Now the stock Ionic hybrid gets about 59 miles per gallon, this guy right here, try 80 So how did they do it?
Well, there's the expected lightweight carbon fiber wheels wrapped in low rolling resistance rubber, as well as a full arrow kit but come on, that's too easy.
The Bisimoto took it a few steps further, they added the coil over kit for reduced ground clearance and they developed their own bespoke low-friction oil And as a bonus, it looks really good.
If it weren't for the rare wheel covers, you'd think that this was a pretty sporty sedan.
The front splitter give it an aggressive look, and they take it up just a notch with that sporty RECARO seat.
Now, there's no word of any of this tech will make it on to To a future Ionic, but in a world of ever dwindling resources and ever rising gas prices.
Can they would do well to listen to Bisimoto.
