We've spent the day at Tesla HQ, learning everything there is to know about the Model 3, and now it's time to pass along all the delicious details.
Here are five things you need to know about Tesla's first truly mass market car.
The car starts at $35,000 for the lower range, 220 mile standard edition, but you can get a 310 mile long range edition for $44,000.
At launch only the Long Range version will be available and only in rear wheel trim.
The car has a vastly satisfied interior from the model S or X with only a single display mounted centrally between the front seats.
Simpler is cheaper and easier to build The standard edition car will sprint from zero to 60 in 5.6 seconds while the pricier long range edition will do it in 5.1.
Just for comparison sake,the top spec model S will do it in less than 2.4 seconds.
The model three will be built in Fremont California at Tesla's factory with battery cells coming in from the company's massive giga factory just over the border in Nevada.
Tesla has over 500,000 pre-orders already, and if you put in your order today you'll have to wait until the end of 2018 before you can expect delivery.
