Honda Civic Coupe conceptOne of the most popular cars in America gets a concept, but should we care?
[unk] how they also say that Honda is a conservative company, here's an example of that. This is the new Honda Civic Si Coupe concept. No, that's not the same Civic you already see in the showrooms, though you'd be forgiven for thinking that in a blink. It doesn't look all that different. Not in the fronts anyway. Towards the rear on the sides things get little more interesting. Again this is a concept car so I realized if it came to production they'd scrubbed like half of this different mess off so there wouldn't be much left. But to the rear, here you do get a bunch of more dramatic, much more well I don't know big car, aspirational car sort of a finish to the thing. But at a time when we've got you know Hyundai with their Veloster coming out and several other competitors of more outrageous cars, Kia stuff is looking really fresh. This is Honda conservative with a capital H or a capital C. Now, other interesting news is that Honda is now going to expand the availability of their Honda Civic GX, that's their natural gas vehicle. It was only available in four states for the last few years, now they're gonna make it available in all 50. I'm not quite sure why, I've never known anyone who had a natural gas vehicle for retail their own use. Fleets I get that but this is gonna be for retail sales. Now Honda says it will be offered to all dealers in all 50 states but the may not all take it because some states don't have much of a natural gas infrastructure where you'd ever want a thing like that. And they're bringing back a new home fueling device. It will take gas from your natural gas connection and put it in the car on your pressure which is required to fuel a natural gas Civic. But that's what's going on here? Uh-huh.
