Meet the new 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE.
Now the SUV is grown a little bit for this generation.
It's about three inches longer in wheel base, which is good, because that makes more room for interior volume for passengers.
There's enough room actually that Mercedes is able to offer this with a new seven row option, instead of the regular five row.
Now you can get it in two flavors.
There's the GLE 350 that makes 255 horsepower from its 2 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine.
You can get that in rear wheel or all wheel drive flavors.
But the one that you're gonna be interested in is the GLE 450, and that's gonna have a 3 liter turbocharged inline 6 engine, with an EQ mild hybrid system.
Now the engine itself makes around 360 horsepower and it gets an additional 21 horsepower boost from the mount hybrid system.
Now that 48 volt mount hybrid system also comes into the play with the EQ air suspension that allows it to do things like adjust the spring and damping rates on the fly, if you drive around and have access to what Mercedes calls An off-road mode that jacks the suspension up automatically if you get stuck in sand or something like that.
Of course, it's gonna be loaded up with tech.
It's gonna have the full range of Mercedes Benz active driver aid systems, including a new feature called low-speed stop-and-go assist that's gonna allow this thing to take control of the steering, the accelerating, and the braking when you're in stop-and-go traffic at speeds below about 37 miles per hour.
And it's gonna feature the new [UNKNOWN] entertainment in the dashboard, with dual 12-inch screens, and the new natural voice language system.
Mercedes is putting that in a lot of its new cars.
So if I shout, hey, Mercedes, about a dozen Mercedes-Benz should property come awake around here somewhere You can expect the 2020 Mercedes Benz GLE to hit North American roads somewhere around Spring 2019.
Pricing hasn't been announced, but a safe bet's somewhere in the mid 50,000
